Muhyadn Yusuf Ibrahim, who works at National AIDS Commission (SOLNAC) as the Director of Awareness and Mobilization, has urged people living with HIV in the country to observe the COVID-19 guidelines that the government has issued.
Ibrahim made the remarks yesterday while addressing the media at the offices of SOLNAC in Hargeisa. Further, he asked those living with HIV to be extra vigilant against the highly infectious and deadly COVID-19.
Additionally, he advised HIV patients in the country to desist from following recommendations, advice, and messages from just anyone. Instead, he asked them to listen only to what the officials from the Ministry of Health say about COVID-19.
Ibrahim also mentioned that SOLNAC had reduced its workload by around 60 percent. Despite that, he stressed that his organization was still conducting its other core functions that include supporting and fighting for the welfare of people living with HIV.
