The governments of Somali in conjunction with that of Norway have installed 25 street lamps in Awdhegle.
The lamps were installed in the region on Thursday, November 5.
NIS Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) that advocates stability, reconciliation, and peace participated in the launch.
The town has benefited from Four Frontline Stabilization Projects.
As part of the project, a school and several district offices have undergone complete refurbishment.
More importantly, the ongoing projects assure 60 local residents of short-term employment.
Governor Ibrahim Adan Ali Najah of Lower Shabelle, who also doubles as the regional administrator expressed gratitude to the two governments for launching the projects.
