Brigadier General Odowaa Yusuf Rageh, the Somali Army Chief, has appointed a committee to investigate the illegal grabbing of public land in Mogadishu.
Last week, there were reports that senior officials from the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) planned to grab land belonging to Somali Coastguard.
Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble was named as one of the people planning to grab the land for private use.
On December 22, Brig. Gen. Odowaa appointed a five-member committee to probe this issue.
