Somali Army Launches Security Operations in Eastern Hiran

BELEDWEYNE — The Somali National Army (SNA) executed a series of planned security operations in the eastern Hiiraan region today. The offensive is part of a broader national initiative to eradicate extremist fighters and thoroughly secure recently liberated zones from Khawaarij (Al-Shabaab) militants.

Protecting Supply Lines and Civilians

According to frontline military sources, the tactical offensive specifically targeted known militant strongholds. The primary goals of the mission were to eliminate lingering asymmetric dangers, protect key logistical supply lines, and ensure the absolute safety of local populations returning to their communities.

This localized operation is directly connected to wider, synchronized security measures across central Somalia. Recent joint offensives have focused heavily on maintaining regional stability and forcefully stopping the return of militant groups along important commercial transit routes.

Commitment to Total Clearance

Security authorities emphatically stated that these continuous clearance operations will persist unabated until complete safety and unrestricted civilian movement are fully reestablished throughout the area.

The Federal Government of Somalia, alongside regional allied forces, continues to maintain high military pressure on the insurgents, systematically dismantling terror networks across the HirShabelle state to prevent any resurgence.
