Somalia’s Council of Cabinet has approved the 2022 budget.
The Council of Cabinet approved the budget, which is worth over $699.1 million after holding a meeting on October 31.
The meeting met under the leadership of Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein in Mogadishu.
Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi Gulaid was also present.
The bulk of the budget would go towards delivering public services that include paying the salaries of civil servants.
Further, the Somali government will spend the funds on health, education, and development projects.
