The Council of Ministers has approved the Child Rights Draft Bill.
Meeting on Thursday under the leadership of Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, the Council of Ministers agreed to approve the bill.
The Ministry of Women and Human Rights Development presented the bill to the cabinet.
According to the ministry, the draft bill tackles issues regarding the rights of children and young people in the East African nation.
With the approval in place, the bill now awaits presentation in parliament.
