Somali Cabinet Approves Draft Bills on Counterterrorism and Immigration

The Council of Cabinet has approved draft bills on counterterrorism and immigration.

Members of the Somali cabinet met on Tuesday under the leadership of Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre to discuss a range of issues.

In the extraordinary session, they endorsed the draft bills unanimously.

Farhan Jimale, the Director of Communications and Public Relations of the Somali government and spokesperson in the Office of the Prime Minister, confirmed the historic developments.

The draft bills are part of the arsenal that the Somali government intends to use to continue carrying out the war on terrorism.
