Today, the Cabinet approved two significant agreements: a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on oil and gas cooperation between the governments of Somalia and Azerbaijan, and the Charter of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC) Labor Center.
Oil and Gas Cooperation between Somalia and Azerbaijan
The MoU aims to strengthen bilateral ties and foster collaboration in the energy sector, particularly in oil and gas exploration, production, and development. This partnership could enhance Somalia’s energy infrastructure and economic growth while leveraging Azerbaijan’s expertise in the energy industry.
Charter of the OIC Labor Center
The approval of the OIC Labor Center’s Charter underscores the commitment to promoting labor rights, improving working conditions, and fostering economic cooperation among member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The center aims to address labor-related challenges and enhance collaboration in workforce development across OIC countries.
These approvals reflect efforts to bolster international partnerships and advance economic and social development initiatives.
