Somali cabinet has banned holding government meetings out of the country.
Meeting on Thursday, the Council of Cabinet declared that no government institution would forthwith be allowed to hold work meetings in other countries.
Instead, all government institutions, agencies, and departments must hold work meetings locally.
The cabinet, which met under the leadership of Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre today, said that the warning takes effect immediately.
The decision is made to reduce wastage of public funds.
