Somali Cabinet Condemns Israeli Attack in Doha, Voices Solidarity with Qatar

Mogadishu — Somalia’s Council of Ministers has condemned the recent Israeli attack in Doha, Qatar, describing it as a violation of international law and a threat to regional stability.

In a statement released Thursday after the cabinet’s weekly meeting chaired by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, the government said it “opposes any acts of aggression that violate international laws and agreements,” reaffirming its support for the Qatari government and people.

The cabinet emphasized that aggression of this nature undermines peace and security and called on the international community to uphold justice and accountability. Somalia has historically maintained close diplomatic ties with Qatar and has repeatedly voiced concern over escalations in the Gulf and Middle East regions.

Officials said the condemnation reflects Mogadishu’s broader commitment to international solidarity, particularly with countries that have supported Somalia’s development and security over the years.
