Somalia’s Council of Ministers endorsed eight national threats.
In its weekly meeting held on Thursday in Mogadishu, the Council of Ministers endorsed the threats that require special attention and resources.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre chaired the meeting that endorsed terrorism and climate shocks as two of the threats.
Others include foreign intervention, unrestricted borders, and state fragility.
Risk of cyber attacks, separatism, and threats of social crisis featured in the list too.
Consequently, the government will work with other stakeholders to identify the appropriate tools and resources for tackling the threats.
