Somalia’s Council of Cabinet has endorsed the 2023 budget.
The cabinet met at Villa Somalia on Tuesday, November 15, and voted to approve the budget which stands at $967.7 million.
The new budget is the largest in the history of the East African nation.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre chaired the meeting.
Apart from approving the budget, members of the cabinet had other important issues to discuss and solve.
These included giving their approval to the defense agreements that Somalia signed with Sudan and Uganda.
