Somali commandos have liberated Bulo-Haji from the control of Al-Shabaab militants.
Danab Commandos carried out a highly effective military operation in Bulo-Haji, a village in Jubbaland state, in the early hours of Monday morning.
The village is 90km to the west of Kismayo, which is the administrative capital of Jubbaland state.
For years, Al-Shabaab militants controlled the village completely.
They also used it as a hub through which to prepare and carry out attacks against Somali National Army (SNA) and regional troops.
It is not yet clear whether there were any casualties from both sides.
