The Deputy Speaker of the House of the People has traveled to Bahrain to attend a global inter-parliamentary conference.
Deputy Speaker Abdullahi Omar Abshir attended the conference that kicked off on Sunday, March 12.
The 146th Conference of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) takes place in Manama, Bahrain.
Abshir led the Somali delegation in attending the IPU, which exists to promote democracy, peace, and stability among its 178-strong national parliaments.
