Dar es Salaam, Tanzania — Somalia’s Second Deputy Speaker of the House of the People, Abdullahi Omar Abshirow, paid a working visit to Tanzania on Sunday, where he toured the nearly completed Somali Embassy in Dar es Salaam.
Abshirow was warmly received by Ambassador Ilyas Ali Hassan, Somalia’s envoy to Tanzania and the East African Community. The visit underscores Somalia’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties in the region and enhancing its diplomatic presence.
The Embassy, once operational, is expected to facilitate bilateral cooperation and support the growing Somali diaspora in Tanzania.
