A serving Member of Parliament (MP) in the House of the People (Lower House) claims that the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) killed Ikran Tahlil.
Tahlil, a young female NISA agent, disappeared mysteriously last year.
Reports from various sources indicate that she was killed.
The government, through ex-NISA head, Fahad Yasin, claims that Al-Shabaab captured and killed Tahlil.
However, legislator Dahir A. Jesow says that NISA is responsible not only for Tahlil’s disappearance but also for her subsequent death.
Jesow has now asked the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) to conduct thorough investigations into the case.
His comments come hot on the heels of those by Yasin.
Yasin had placed the blame on Ms. Tahlil’s disappearance and death squarely at the feet of Mahad Salad.
Salad is the new NISA Chief.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud appointed him to head NISA a few weeks ago.
