Somali security forces killed five Al-Shabaab fighters in a raid conducted in Lower Shabelle on Wednesday.
Troops from the Somali National Army (SNA) undertook the operation near Lower Shabelle’s Raydabley.
Government sources already provided the names of the Al-Shabaab terrorists killed in the raid.
They include Farah Yare and Mohamud Hassan Kadiye Biriq. Yare is a senior Al-Shabaab commander while Biriq is a clan elder who has been in charge of the group’s extortion wing.
