Somali National Army (SNA) recaptured a Bakool town from Al-Shabaab.
The military undertook a counterterrorism operation in the region on Sunday.
Consequently, they retook El-Doon from the grip of Al-Shabaab militants.
El-Doon is a small town in Bakool.
Onkod Moalim Adan, an SNA commander, confirmed the development to the media.
Adan added that SNA confiscated several weapons and vehicles from the terrorists.
