CAIRO, Egypt – Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalan Abdi Ali, has arrived in Cairo on Friday to head the Somali delegation at the Second Ministerial Conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum. The diplomatic event will span two days, December 19-20, gathering influential figures from African nations and the Russian Federation.
The conference will function as a crucial platform for discourse, uniting Foreign Ministers from African countries with senior representatives from regional organizations. The gathering seeks to enhance diplomatic connections and promote collaborative efforts between Africa and Russia, tackling mutual challenges and opportunities within the current global context.
This meeting follows the initial Ministerial Conference of the partnership, conducted in Sochi, Russia during November 2024. The Cairo summit intends to evaluate advancements since the first gathering and establish specific, achievable objectives for the upcoming year, guaranteeing that the partnership provides practical advantages to all participating nations.
Primary topics during the two-day conference will focus on extensive dialogue concerning enhanced trade connections and increased foreign direct investment.
