The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has dispatched essential food aid to a town in the Gedo region.
Somali government dispatched the food supplies through the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management on July 19.
Residents of Bur-Dhubo town in Gedo can now look forward to a bit of a respite from the ongoing drought.
Gedo is one of the hardest hit regions in the country by the ongoing drought. Its residents have fled to camps for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the hope of finding relief.
