The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has launched a mass measles campaign targeting children under the age of five years.
The Somali government launched the campaign jointly with the World Health Organization (WHO) on Sunday.
During the launch, the Ministry of Health said that the campaign would prevent large-scale outbreaks and transmission of measles among children around the country.
The campaign also sees officials from the health ministry and WHO integrate it with polio vaccination.
Furthermore, the government and WHO would also distribute Vitamin A while deworming children under the age of five years.
