The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) is ready to recruit 3,000 teachers to work in public schools around the country.
Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama confirmed the government’s plans on Saturday.
He added that the government already hired 3,000 teachers for the schools in 2023.
Additionally, the federal government would bring in 3,000 more teachers to improve the teacher to student ratio in 2024.
Jama added that this is part of the government’s plans to increase access to education, improve quality of education, boost teaching expertise, and create additional jobs.
