Somali leaders have thrown their weight behind the counterterrorism measures instigated by the incumbent President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
The leaders spoke highly of the ongoing offensive operations that President Mohamud’s administration is carrying out against Al-Shabaab militants.
Some of the leaders who have praised the President include ex-President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed.
Others are the immediate former Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble and Sharif Hassan, an ex-Speaker of the House of the People (Lower House).
Recently, President Mohamud’s administration has ramped up the operations against Al-Shabaab militants around the country.
