Mogadishu, Somalia – Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, alongside Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre and top cabinet officials, attended the launch of the Dan-Qaran Government’s Performance Report (2022–2025) on Wednesday night in Mogadishu.
The high-profile event showcased achievements and challenges faced during the government’s ongoing three-year development plan, which was designed to strengthen state institutions, boost security operations, and improve social services.
The report highlighted milestones in key sectors such as infrastructure, governance reforms, and the economy, while also noting continued efforts to combat terrorism and implement the National Security Architecture. It further outlined government progress on revenue mobilization, federalization, and anti-corruption initiatives.
Officials emphasized that Dan-Qaran is more than a political program—it is a framework aimed at stabilizing Somalia and laying the groundwork for sustainable development. Prime Minister Barre underscored the role of public accountability, stressing that the government’s commitment to transparency was central to publishing the performance review.
President Mohamud praised the resilience of Somali citizens and reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to meeting the aspirations of the Somali people. He described the report as a tool to measure both accomplishments and shortcomings, enabling corrective action in the years ahead.
The ceremony, attended by lawmakers, ministers, and representatives of civil society, also served as a platform to engage stakeholders in shaping the next phase of national priorities leading up to 2025.
With Somalia navigating a critical transition—including security responsibilities shifting from international forces to Somali troops—the “Dan-Qaran” review comes at a pivotal time, offering both a record of progress and a roadmap for the future.
