A Somali man was arrested in Nairobi for assaulting a British woman.
Abdihakim Said Jama was arrested on Friday upon arriving in the Kenyan capital from China.
He is alleged to have assaulted a British woman known as Ayni Hussein Muhammad in Eastleigh, Nairobi.
Jama committed the offence on October 19, 2022.
He was charged in court where the matter has been since then.
However, authorities ordered his arrest after he failed to show up in court for the proceedings.
Through his lawyer, Jama claims he traveled to China to attend to his ailing mother.
