Officers from the Somali Navy, Police Coast Guard Unit, and Ministry of Ports & Marine Transport have successfully completed an intensive two-week Coastal Navigation course, strengthening Somalia’s maritime security and operational capabilities.
The training was facilitated by the European Union Capacity Building Mission in Somalia (EUCAPSOM) and the United Nations Transitional Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNTMIS).
It equipped participants with advanced navigation techniques, coastal surveillance strategies, and maritime safety protocols. This collaborative effort underscores Somalia’s commitment to securing its waters and improving port management through enhanced expertise.
