Somali military conducted a counterterrorism operation in the Bay region on Sunday.
Members of the 47th Brigade of the SNA were in charge of the operation under the leadership of Commander Ahmed Mohamednur Dhagey.
Areas that benefited from the operation include Durow, Kormar, Warta, and Misgale.
Reports from these areas indicate that the military was able to clear them of the presence of Al-Shabaab militants.
Over the years, Al-Shabaab has recruited new fighters and extorted locals in these areas.
