Military officers in Somalia have executed a soldier accused and convicted over a recent rape and murder in Gedo region.
Reports from the region indicate that the soldiers executed Nur Madobe on March 21.
The execution took place in Balad Hawo, a town in Gedo region, which is in the southern parts of the East African nation.
Madobe had been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the murder of Ismahan Bakal.
Shockingly, Bakal was killed after being gang raped first.
Madobe was killed by a firing squad on Sunday following instructions by the military court that sentenced him to death for his crimes.
