Somali Minister Attends 3rd EU-AU Ministerial Meeting in Brussels to Strengthen Africa-Europe Ties

Brussels, Belgium – Somalia’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ali Omar, participated in the 3rd European Union–African Union (EU-AU) Ministerial Meeting held in Brussels, reaffirming Somalia’s commitment to deepening relations between Africa and Europe.

During the high-level gathering, Omar engaged in a series of bilateral discussions with senior officials from various delegations and international institutions. These meetings centered on enhancing cooperation in areas such as peace and security, trade, climate change, migration, and development.

“The Ministerial Meeting presented a valuable opportunity to build stronger diplomatic bridges and advance common goals between the two continents,” Omar stated, underscoring the importance of sustained dialogue and partnership.

The 3rd EU-AU Ministerial Meeting brought together foreign ministers and representatives from across Africa and Europe to assess ongoing joint initiatives and strategize on future collaboration in addressing shared global challenges.
