Somali MP Accuses President Mohamud of Wasting $81,000 Per Night in a Switzerland Hotel

Somali Member of Parliament Dahir Amin Jesow has been a vocal critic of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s administration.

In a recent media interview, Jesow expressed concerns about the feasibility of implementing a one-person, one-vote electoral system in Somalia, citing significant challenges and accusing the President of attempting to extend his tenure beyond the official term.

Furthermore, he accused the President of spending $81,000 a night in his recent official visit to Switzerland.

According to Jesow, the amount is a massive waste of public resources considering that soldiers working for the Somali National Army (SNA) earn a monthly salary of $150.

However, there is no verifiable information or credible reports supporting the claims.

This specific allegation appears to lack substantiation from reliable sources this leaving the legislator with the task of providing evidence regarding his claims.
