Somali Navy and Coastal Guard are marking their anniversary today.
Both arms of the military celebrated their respective 59th anniversary on Sunday, February 11th.
Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, the Minister of Defense, congratulated them.
A communique from the defense ministry shows Nur commending the Navy and the Coastal Guard for the exemplary service offered to protect Somalia.
He saluted their officers for the dedication and professionalism displayed in their duties.
