The federal parliament of Somalia has approved the review of the 2023 budget.
A bicameral session held on Monday between members of the House of the People and the Senate agreed to approve the budget.
They voted overwhelmingly to approve the budget after thorough scrutiny and debate.
Two Members of Parliament (MPs) voted against the bill, though. One parliamentarian abstained.
Bihi Egeh, the federal Minister of Finance, expressed gratitude to members of both houses for approving the budget.
