The Federal Parliament of Somalia has decided to forgo its scheduled holiday or recess, which was set for November 6.
Parliamentarians heeded the request President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud made in his speech to a joint session of the House of the People and Senate on Saturday.
They will now concentrate on finalizing crucial election procedures and regulations.
The focus on election regulations highlights the government’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and organized electoral process as Somalia prepares for upcoming elections.
