Somalia’s parliament has passed a motion of no confidence against Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire today.
The ouster was made possible when 170 Members of Parliament (MPs) voted in favor of the motion.
Only eight MPs voted against the motion.
Consequently, the Speaker Mohamed Mursal urged President Mohamed Farmaajo to replace Prime Minister Khaire fast.
Speaker Mursal said the country now needs a new Prime Minister capable of leading Somalia into a popular election.
Prime Minister Khaire has been in Dhusamareb together with President Farmaajo meeting with the regional leaders over the upcoming polls.
