The House of the People of the Somali Parliament has unanimously passed two critical draft laws.
Lower House legislators passed the draft bills on seeds and agricultural plant safety, with 143 members voting in favor.
These laws, which were passed in Monday’s session, are significant for advancing Somalia’s agricultural sector.
They will achieve this by establishing regulations for seed quality and safety, ensuring better crop yields, and enhancing food security.
This move aligns with ongoing efforts to improve agricultural productivity and sustainability in the country.
