MOGADISHU — The Speaker of Somalia’s House of the People, Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur (Madoobe), held a strategic meeting on Monday with the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Somalia, James Swan, at his parliamentary office in the capital.

During the engagement, the UN envoy updated the Speaker on the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia’s ongoing activities. Swan highlighted the international body’s continued, robust support for the Federal Government and broader initiatives designed to advance the nation’s critical state-building and governance development.

Advancing the Constitutional Review

In response to the briefing, Speaker Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur expressed his deep gratitude for the sustained assistance from the United Nations to Somalia, especially its targeted support for key governmental bodies.
