The federal parliament of Somalia has began debating proposed amendments to the provisional constitution.
Parliamentarians were at the House of the People (Lower House) on Monday morning to debate the amendments.
Last week, the Constitutional Review Commission proposed amendments to the first four chapters of the constitution.
This week, legislators will debate them from February 14-19.
Somalia has attempted to draft a final constitution for years since 1961 when it gained independence.
However, it finally looks like the nation will have its constitution in place.
