Minister of Finance Bihi Egeh has announced that the cabinet endorsed the audited financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2023.
The finance minister added that the statements would now be forwarded to the federal parliament in the next few weeks.
Parliamentarians would then get an opportunity to debate and review these statements.
This step is crucial for transparency and accountability in the government’s financial operations, especially where public finance management (PFM) is concerned.
