The Commissioner of the Somali Police Force (SPF) has traveled to Ethiopia for a meeting of police chiefs from countries in the East Africa region.
Major General Abdi Hassan Mohamed Hijar, the SPF Chief, traveled to Addis Ababa on Friday.
He will join his colleagues from other countries in the region for the 24th Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization General Meeting.
The meeting kicks off on December 9.
Police chiefs and other stakeholders attending the meeting are likely to discuss wide-ranging issues.
Mostly, their discussions would revolve around promoting the best policing practices in the ongoing fight against terrorism, which affects the entire region.
