A male officer with the Somali Police Force (SPF) has been sentenced to death over the killing of a civilian.
A military court in Somalia sentenced the officer, Osman Ibrahim, to death after finding him guilty over the murder of a civilian.
The civilian was murdered in Baidoa, the administrative capital of Southwest State.
Baidoa lies close to 250kms to the southwest of Mogadishu, the capital city of the Horn of Africa nation.
The military court sentenced him to death by firing squad.
