Somali Police Force (SPF) is to deploy its officers to maintain law and order in the clash-torn villages of Middle Shabelle.
SPF headquarters announced its plans to deploy officers in such regions on Monday.
Sadik Ali Duudishe, the SPF spokesperson, confirmed this development to members of the fourth estate.
He added that the officers would be required to silence the sounds of war that have filled the air in several Middle Shabelle villages repeatedly over the last few days.
“The officers are required to stop the clashes from recurring,” announced Duudishe.
