Somalia’s Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre held a meeting with soldiers from the country who are currently in Qatar for training.
The Prime Minister, who has been in Doha this week, met with the Somali National Army (SNA) officers on Friday.
He took the opportunity to brief them on the ongoing counterterrorism operations in the East African nation.
Barre encouraged the soldiers to remain steadfast in their duty of protecting and securing the country against all aggressors, including Al-Shabaab militants.
The Premier expressed gratitude to the government and people of Qatar for standing with Somalia in security matters.
