The Somali President is in Hudur.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud arrived in the Hudur region on Thursday afternoon.
The President will be in the Southwest state district to oversee preparations for military operations against Al-Shabaab militants in the region.
A statement from Villa Somalia shows that the President would “boost and mobilize” the military for the second phase of counterterrorism operations.
The President arrived in Hudur from Baidoa.
Just as happened in Baidoa, President Mohamud would meet with local leaders and communities to discuss the ongoing liberation efforts in the region.
He would use the opportunity to assess their needs as well.
