President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia has called for the cessation of hostilities in Las Anod.
The Somali President issued the call on Tuesday following reports that fresh clashes broke out in the city on Monday.
He urged the warring parties to embrace dialogue as a solution for the constant clashes.
Furthermore, President Mohamud added that a political solution is the preferred method of stopping the conflict.
President Mohamud labeled the continued spillage of blood as “unacceptable.”
