President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud chaired this week’s cabinet meeting.
The President took the opportunity to brief his ministers on a number of issues.
Primarily, he spoke to them about the ongoing operations against Al-Shabaab terrorists around the country.
President Mohamud commended Somali National Army (SNA) troops for their sacrifices.
He also mentioned local forces for teaming up with the military to undertake the ongoing countrywide military operations.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre addressed the ministers on this issue too.
He informed them of the establishment of two ministerial committees whose role is to assist the army and raise awareness of their operations.
