President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia convened the inaugural National Economic Council (NEC).
Members of the NEC met on Sunday in Mogadishu.
They endorsed the national development blueprint.
NEC also gave approval to the Centennial Vision 2060 in addition to several other projects.
Apart from President Mohamud, others at the NEC included Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre.
Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama and Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi were at the event too.
Abdullahi is the Governor of the Central Bank of Somalia (CBS).
