President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has left Somalia for an official visit to Egypt.
The Somali President departed the country on Sunday, July 24 from the Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.
He departed shortly after holding discussions with Samantha Power, the Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
This will be President Mohamud’s seventh visit out of the country since May 15 when he won the presidential elections.
He left the country for the first time when traveling to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Mohamud then followed this up with official visits to Turkey, Eritrea, Kenya, and Djibouti.
Last week, he was in Arusha, Tanzania to present Somalia’s case for admission to the East African Community (EAC).
