Somali President Disbands Judicial Service Commission

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia has disbanded the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

He issued a decree on Sunday, October 9 that disbanded the JSC.

Furthermore, the same decree also contained an order calling for the disbandment of the Anti-Corruption Commission.

Afterward, he called upon the Council of Cabinet to form the two commissions.

President Mohamud advised the cabinet to adhere to the law, especially Article 71 of the Constitution, when forming the two commissions afresh.
