Somali President has commended the role of the international community in the ongoing counterterrorism operations in the country.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud hailed the international community for extending to Somalia much-needed help in fighting terrorists.
He added that Somalia would not have enjoyed the success it has in the fight against Al-Shabaab terrorists over the past year.
Somalia’s military has liberated several areas that had been under the control of terrorists.
They have arrested and killed many terrorists too in that time.
Nevertheless, he added that the international community would not have supported the operations had the country’s military not set the ball rolling in the first place.
