President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud hosted dinner for lawmakers from both chambers of parliament.
Legislators from the House of the People (Lower House) and Senate (Upper House) attended the dinner at Villa Somalia on Sunday evening.
While addressing them, President Mohamud expressed gratitude to the lawmakers for their role in defending Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Specifically, he commended them for passing the law that nullifies the agreement that Ethiopia signed with Somaliland last week on Monday.
